Label founders and veteran production duo Sublow Hz drew for the contacts book and recruited lava-hot reggae star Eesah to feature on ‘Gangster Life’, which has already hooked ravers with its addictive combo of singalong vocals and heavyweight beats and bass.
And, now, before we’ve even had a chance to recover from that first assault on our senses, there’s a follow-up strike.
The mighty Dope Ammo has been brought on board to deliver his flip on the stems and he’s produced a monster. Eesah’s melodies still power the track, but Mr Ammo has melded them with extra stomping screwface bass and rolling, break-layered drums. Where the original was slick, cool and stripped-back, this version takes things a couple notches more brutal.
This is only the first step of Cabin Fever Music’s journey under Sublow Hz’s guidance. The brand’s already established their Caribbean-UK connection and showcased multiple styles of drum ‘n’ bass, but this is just the beginning of the journey.
